Kimberly Tuson is native to the west coast of B.C., Her love of dance and
performance started at the age of 5, where she grew up studying ballet, jazz, tap
and musical theatre. She spent ten years on the vaudeville stages in Dawson City,
Yukon, choreographing and performing. Kim is a BFA dance graduate, with honors,
from Simon Fraser University and went on to dance professionally for several of
Canada's leading choreographers. Her dance career spans over 30 years. She has
successfully created dance works that have toured across Canada and has been
recognized and supported by the Canada Council for Arts, and the BC Arts Council.
creativEmotion is Kimberly’s latest creation focusing on children and the
developmental stages through music and dance. She is a personal trainer in a
modality of movement called GYROTONIC© and GYROKINESIS© “Yoga for
Dancers” as well as a practitioner of Jin Shin Do© “way of the compassionate
spirit” a modality combining the techniques of Japanese acupressure, Chinese
acupuncture, and body, mind processing.
